- if you’re looking for a physician, surgeon, therapist, etc. please check out this document. a lot of it is nc centered because that’s where i’m from but there’s also national and international listings.

- if you need to figure out what documents you need to change your license or name in your state, this site is pretty useful. it’s not always 100% accurate but it does a pretty good job.
- you can get a passport with your desired gender on it even if you haven’t fully transitioned yet. you just have to prove that you’re in the process of transitioning.
- the social security office doesn’t have anything public on how to change your gender. i’ve had to contact them before. here’s the details: you can make an appointment with your local Social Security office, bringing (1) a filled out SS-5 form by calling 1-800-772-1213 or going to this link https://www.ssa.gov/forms/ss-5.pdf, (2) your birth certificate with new sex indicated, and/or (3) a letter signed by a physician certifying that you have undergone gender reassignment surgery. you will not receive a new social security card if you still possess the old one, but they will change your gender in their records.
